How many guests are at the lodge at one time?
We intentionally host a limited number of guests to ensure attentive service, uncrowded water and a relaxed lodge experience. We typically welcome 16 guests at a time, with full lodge buyouts available for private groups of up to 24 guests.

Days begin with a hearty breakfast before heading out to fish. Lunch is often a classic shore lunch prepared by your guide on the lake, followed by an afternoon of fishing. What is the difference between fishing Hatchet Lake, portage lakes and fly-outs?
Hatchet Lake offers expansive, multi-species fishing right from the lodge. Nearby portage lakes provide quieter, lightly fished water accessed by a short boat ride and walk. Fly-outs take guests by floatplane to even more remote lakes for a full day of fishing. Learn more on The Experience page.

Is Hatchet Lake Lodge suitable for groups or corporate trips?
Yes. We welcome small groups and corporate retreats, with flexible scheduling, meeting space and team-building options available.

What support is available in the event of a medical emergency?
Hatchet Lake Lodge has first-aid– and CPR/AED-certified staff on site, and a medical clinic is approximately 15 minutes away by air. We also partner with Global Rescue, which offers travel insurance and medical evacuation memberships for added peace of mind. Guests are strongly encouraged to consider coverage prior to arrival.

Is phone service or internet available at the lodge?
The main lodge and all guest cabins are equipped with Starlink Wi-Fi, allowing guests to stay connected during their stay. With Wi-Fi calling enabled, most mobile phone features work as usual. To preserve the relaxed lodge atmosphere, we kindly ask that phones and devices be kept on silent in shared spaces.
